Fresh 48 Lifestyle Newborn Photography

You might be wondering what a Fresh 48 is. A Fresh 48 is a lifestyle photography session that takes place in the hospital (or at home for the home birthers!) after the delivery. Usually, (you guessed it!) 24-48 hours after a baby has been born. Photographing this momentous occasion is a chance to capture your baby’s first little yawns, those cute little feet and hands, first meetings with siblings, and the indescribable bonding of the parents and new baby.

Babies change so quickly and grow up right before your very eyes, especially when they’re so little. Those first few hours after delivery can become hazy and the memories are lost in the chaos. You should be able to remember how wonderful your family looks in the freshest hours of the day. So let me stand back and document these interactions for your perfect little family.

Just look at this perfect little family as they welcome little baby Madison Rose! It was truly a privilege and honor to photograph this new baby and her family. Willow was so excited to hold her new baby sister. It was just the absolute sweetest interaction and to see her give Madison kisses melted my heart!

Introducing a once only child to their new little sibling can be a challenge. There are a lot of mixed emotions, but Abbey and Vince made Willow a huge part of it all, making her feel just as special as before the new baby arrived. While I photographed Abbey with the baby, Vince gave Willow lots and lots of attention. It was obvious that they have a special bond just by watching the two of them interact!

A new baby is a precious gift, whether it is your first or second or third, a new baby brings an already close family closer together. The love is apparent, that new pink baby smell is abundant, and the happiness that fills the room is overwhelming. These moments fly by so quickly, and it is hard to remember the tiny toes and tiny fingers without the tangible proof of those memories.
