It was a beautiful sunny day for Emily’s session! She was incredibly sweet and an absolute natural in front of the camera!
This stunning senior is graduating from Fort Hill High School incredibly soon (where did the year fly?!) and will be attending Potomac State before transferring to West Virginia University. She wants to be a nurse and has wanted to be a nurse since she was five years old - talk about dedication!
We began her session with a few softball photos! She wanted to document all of the years she had played - thirteen!
Emily has been into athletics most of her life, and in fact she once pitched a no hitter! That sounds amazing, Emily!
During the second portion of her senior session, a group of 5 or 6 deer ran behind her and scared us all! It was certainly a memorable moment as we laughed and laughed afterwards.
Covid caused Emily to miss out on so much, especially when it came to her friends her sports. She didn’t mind virtual learning but she would have preferred face to face interactions with her teachers. On the plus side, she completed three college classes during the first semester! Way to go, Emily!
During her fun water portion, we saw a turtle! I was a little concerned it might be a snapping turtle but Emily and I kept our eyes peeled for the duration of her session!
I had a blast getting to know this soon to be graduating senior! She is obviously caring and we were both laughing the majority of her session!
Looking for a senior portrait photographer? Look no further! KMP has you covered!
It’s hard to believe that graduate is right around the corner, but would you look at that! Here it is! Ryann was a blast to photograph and we even had a storm we needed to outrun. It left us wildly laughing and we enjoyed every bit of her session!
This Fort Hill High School senior wants to be a doctor when she heads off to college in the fall; she wants to study Kinesiology.
Covid changed Ryann’s senior year in many ways. Though it was a hard adjustment to online learning, there were some positives ways Covid impacted her life. With the cancellation of school and sports, Ryann found herself with a lot of free time. She focused her thoughts on the future - which brought her an athetlic scholarship to James Madison University! That’s so exciting, Ryann! Congratulations!
This kindhearted spirit also had time in September to start a fundraiser to raise awareness for for childhood cancer with her sister. They were very successful with this fundraiser! They made many candy bouquets and raffled them off.
This determine, quiet, and kind senior loves hanging out with friends and family, drawing and working out! She’s also involved with two sports, volleyball and track and field. She’s been playing both since she was in the seventh grade.
Though there have been many negative effects of Covid, Ryann prefers to focus on the good. The experience was challenging, but overall she felt she became more mature and learned to take things slower and enjoy them while they last! I think that’s such a positive outlook on life, Ryann!
Ryann, thank you for choosing Karen Morgan Photography as your high school senior photographer!

I had the pleasure of meeting Katie after I met and photographed her older brother for his senior photos. She was a delight to work with, absolutely kind and also beautiful! It was also a gorgeous day.
We visited the sunflower patch for a few amazing images. Used wildflowers to make a bouquet.
As I do with most of my sessions, I incorporated lots of movement...walking toward me, twirling around, etc. I love what I do and I will make your senior portraits special with different posing and prompts!
Covid really put a damper on Katie’s senior year at Allegany High. She was supposed to play soccer but that wasn’t doable with pandemic. Her daily life used to consist of school, practices, and games; now it’s Netflix and social media.
When she graduates, she’s looking forward to playing soccer in college, a sport she’s played for 12 years (and softball for 10, and basketball for 8! She’s a sporty young woman, that’s for sure!)
How cool are her sports attire?! That letterman jacket is to die for!
Congrats, Katie, Class of 2021!
Helpful, compassionate, and sincere. Three words used to describe this lovely 2021 senior attending Mountain Ridge. In my brief experience and time capturing such a momentous occasion in her life, I would definitely have to agree with those three words!
Our session began along Evitts Creek. Erin wanted some water shots without actually submerging herself in the water.
I love when clients want to get a little daring! Though she didn’t go into the water herself, I was able to strategically pose her on a rock above water level to give her the senior experience she wanted!
Erin plans on attending ACM for her general classes but wants to transfer out of state in the future. Her primary focus of study will be environmental science! It seems fitting with such a compassionate heart!
After cooling off in the water on the hot summer day, we made our way to a field where I brought my Egg Chair to get some unique shots! I mean, you saw them right?! How whimsical is that look!
Julie adores her daughter Erin and her favorite memories of her child are when they cook and bake new recipes in the kitchen! A little mother daughter bonding experience, isn’t that so cute?!
In the cold months (fall + winter), adding layers to your outfits always looks STUNNING in portraits! A sweater with a flannel underneath paired with a vest + statement necklace or scarf adds so much dimension to your images and makes for super fun posing options! Even in the warmer months (spring + summer) you can add these layers
Erin was so much fun and was so willing to try different poses. I love how her photos turned out!
Congratulations, Erin, Class of 2021!
Chloe’s session was absolutely perfect! She is so stunning and we had an amazing day with beautiful light and scenery! This sweet, kind, and gorgeous senior is excited to be graduating in May 2021.
We started our session in Goldenrod Field. I usually coordinate with my clients about what to wear but Chloe did such an amazing job picking her outfits!
On her way to Frostburg State University to study veterinary medicine, this 2021 senior will be graduating from Mountain Ridge High School in May!
Just LOOK at that backlight among those golden fields! Absolutely breathtaking!
While I got to know Chloe, I also got to know her mother and during that time I learned that her favorite memory of Chloe is her first trip to the beach and how much she loved the ocean and playing in the sand. She may have been little but she never wanted to leave the beach and took her naps lounging under the beach umbrella! I love that!
As if you couldn’t tell from our session so far, Chloe is an outdoorsy girl always ready for an adventure! And not only that, she loves to do makeup and hair or go shopping; but most of all Chloe loves hanging out with her friends and family! Isn’t she just the cutest?
Despite the excitement of graduating, it has been a hard year not having interactions with her friends. Not only that but Chloe couldn’t attend school functions and missed having face to face experiences with her teachers. When things return to normal, she’s very much looking forward to spending time her friends and being able to participate in an actual classroom. I can honestly say, we all can’t wait to get back to normal, Chloe!
Our second location took place in Evitts Creek and let me tell you what, I was so excited when she said she’d be willing to get in the water! I love when clients trust my direction and my eye for creativity!
We had such a great time during Chloe’s session. She was able to express herself and the perfect day with the perfect scenery just added to the beauty of this momentous occasion.
It is important to me as a senior portrait photographer to get to know my clients and help them relax during their session with me. I’m glad I was able to make Chloe feel at ease during her time with me and I can’t wait to hear about the grand things she does in the future! Congratulations, Chloe, Class of 2021!
One of my favorite things about being a photographer who specializes in senior portraits is the opportunity to meet and get to know these young and aspiring adults. They all have so much potential and none of them are the same. It’s honestly a gift to be able to interact with the next generation in a way that allows me to capture them as they are and for who they are.
Madison is no different! My experience with her was just as rewarding as my previous sessions and I was able to get to know this 2020 senior of Mountain Ridge High School.
Madison plans to attend college to become a pharmacist, but she’s still undecided on where she wants to go. Pharmacy is such a vast and growing field, that no matter what she does, I know she will succeed! If her academic history has anything to show for it, Madison will have no problems getting where she wants to go.
This beauty has her fair share of activities she loves to partake in - both at and out of school! She’s been playing soccer for thirteen years and tennis for four! She’s also been a part of the choir for seven years.
Another thing about Madison is that she’s a member of the drama club and she’ll be playing Cinderella this year in the musical Into the Woods. So If you’re a parent of a student at Mountain Ridge, you’ll get to see her live and in action!
Madison is also on a mock trial team as an attorney, is Class Secretary for the Student Senior Council, is a member of the National Honor Society, the Ridge Scholars Club, and she’s also a Rotary Club Student of the Month recipient! For a senior in high school, she surely stays busy!
If you ask Madison what some of the things she enjoyed about her senior session, she’ll tell you that she had a lot of fun getting dressed up and having her picture taken in different locations. She also really enjoyed sharing this moment with her parents, Scott and Donna! I love being able to capture these moments for parents because your child isn’t going to stay little forever. Blink and they’re going to high school. Blink again and they’re on their way to college!
As I got to know Madison, I also became acquainted with her parents and their favorite memory of their child is her proud smile. When She accomplishes a goal, she would smile a great big smile and they watched that same proud smile throughout the years.

Meet Gavin! Gavin goes to school at Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Maryland. My favorite part about Gavin’s session was the scenery and settings of his pictures. Gavin made sure to mention to me about how much he enjoyed the outdoors, so it was just right to have his senior pictures done in Western Maryland’s fall foliage!
Fall is such a lovely time in Cumberland because of the trees changing colors. The leaves almost looked as if they were bright beautiful flowers on the ground. Fall is the perfect time for senior pictures and this lovely period of time only happens for a glimpse of a few weeks. If you have an adventurer or lover of the outdoors, I suggest you pick the fall months to have your senior’s life captured.
As I was photographing Gavin, he told me how much he loved swimming and fishing. The part of the session that tied everything together was how well Gavin’s eyes matched the foliage.
Gavin plans on attending Lansing Community College or Michigan State University with a focus on Biochemistry. Maybe he will continue his love for the outdoors his entire life!
Gavin says his favorite part of life is spending it with family. Gavin played soccer and basketball through high school.
One of Jill’s favorite memories of Gavin is when they went to Disneyland in California, he wanted to buy her something special and enlisted the help of his grandpa to buy it and surprise her. She says he is such a sweet boy, always thinking of others!
My favorite part of senior portrait sessions is capturing moments that families will remember forever! If your teen has a special interest or passion that you would like captured, let’s make it happen.
